Unexpected Anticipation

 

One line or two.

Pink or blue.

Plus or minus.

No matter which type of test you choose, the anticipation of your life from that moment on is going to change.  What will you do with the choice that you have been blessed with?

At 18 years old, I was given a gift.  Before then, I had no real purpose in life.  I was on the path of not graduating high school.  I didn’t care enough to force myself to grow up and do something with my life.  I allowed myself to stay in abusive relationships and continue on a downhill slope.

When I found out I was pregnant things began to slowly change.  I was NOT going to have a baby before I had a high school diploma.  I managed to go to school everyday, work 4 or 5 hours a day to save money, and go to night school every night.  I managed to graduate only 6 months after my graduating class of 95.

Graduation night was something my parents and I looked forward to.  That morning, my mom took me to have my nails and hair done.  I proceeded to go into labor shortly after the lady began to do my nails.  My graduation night was spent in labor at the hospital.

Early the next morning, a beautiful baby girl was placed into my arms.  I took one look at her and I said goodbye to my past.  My anticipation for my future was unreal.  Unreal, scary, and exciting.

Taylor was an unexpected gift.  True love in its purest form.
