Simple night
A simple night.
Enjoying the silence of an empty house.
Imagining you were here.
Lying on the back porch.
Feeling the chill of the autumn winds brush against every contour of my unclothed body.
Dialing your number I listen to the ring of the phone.
I want you to see me, to feel me, to touch me.
For a moment when I first hear your voice I am no longer alone.
It’s as if you are on that porch laying beside me.
The air kisses my neck in your place.
I wrap the blanket around me, it’s as soft as your skin pressed against me.
Tonight your voice will be my pleasure.
I urge people to join in, comment with your paragraph of fiction to accompany the image. It doesn’t have to follow my story or reflect the same themes. It can be a poem or in a different language (provide a translation please ). Anyone who wants to join in, is welcome. This photograph will be reblogged under Ermisenda on tumblr and added to the Picture it & Write gallery on Facebook and Pinterest.
