Abandoned love
“I will never understand your desire to abandon those who love you.”
Shouting at him when he left didn’t make me feel as good as I thought it was going to. He had a habit of running away when things got serious. I guess he thought hurting me was more acceptable than allowing himself to get hurt. This time, When he realizes the mistake he has made, I will welcome him back with forgiveness.

But I wonder why you will?
Because I always do.

You have to learn to love yourself more and kick the fool to the floor. 😐
I agree! Thanks.
Very nicely done!
Thanks Joe
Nice piece of writing! These impulsive actions are always so impossible to explain… Love is complicated… To be embraced or to be feared.
Thank you for your kind words.
Perhaps, giving chances is necessary in love !!!
That is true!
Do we always welcome them back, or is there a time when we finally say, “enough.”
Sometimes enough is enough. Thanks Tara
Sounds familar….glad you know how to forgive. This hit all the right emotions.
Interesting take, acknowledging a failing yet loving and accepting of it. Sweet. Food for thought I think. We all run from something. The going back is the test of us.
Very true/ Thank you for taking to time to read it!
A generous soul and a beautiful story 😉
Thank you so very much.
The guy sounds like a “cowardy lion” who lacks the courage to face reality, and who comes back like a “lost puppy” with its tail between its feet when the scare is over and things have calmed down again.
Yes! That is so true. Thank you for reading.
This was pretty powerful. Great piece.
Thank you so much.
