A few thoughts.
Very few times we stand together as one.
Blaming, arguing and taking sides.
“He said, she did, we should have done this.”
Let us stop for a moment and remember.
Remember April, 1999 (Columbine) when we held our kids and promised to work together to make our home better for them.
Remember September, 2001 (9/11) when we joined hands with our neighbors and spread love across our country.
Remember April, 2007 (Virginia Tech) when we worked together to once again make our children feel safe as they left the comfort of home and went to school.
Remember December, 2012 (Sandy Hook) when we cried, watched with fear, and joined together as a country to let the families know that we were here for them.
As a country we need to heal. We need to be restored. We need to join hand and stop the fighting. It’s ok to have different opinions and beliefs. That’s what makes our country so great.
When did it become okay to be hurtful to those who disagree with us. To fight, to argue and to diminish their feelings.
Lets become one again. Lets love one another and treat people with respect. Lets become united in these states.
